The Nuffield Foundation
In 2001 Michael Wills (the then Learning and Technology Minister) announced the setting up of the Design & Technology Strategy Group to advise ministers on how to build on the already considerable success of the subject. The group made a detailed report In June 2004 The Group reported to Ministers in June.
Alan Johnson, the Minister of State for Lifelong Learning, Further and Higher Education, who has a responsibility for our subject, has welcomed the report and its recommendations. He will be building the Group's recommendations into the overall consultation on Subject Specialism and will writing to the Group in the autumn.
