Four key ways you can support the students

You will need to support the teaching of design & technology in these four important ways.

1. Invest in the teachers; they need regular professional development in order to stay abreast of a rapidly changing subject.

2. Invest in the teaching environment so that it is appealing to all students and enables a wide range of learning styles.

3. Support the purchase and maintenance of tools and equipment and ensure that there is an adequate supply of suitable consumable materials.

4. Ensure that all students in your school experience the full range of experiences at KS3 and can follow the design & technology option of their choice in KS4.
